Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs collard greens, washed and chopped
  • 1 smoked turkey leg
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. In a large pot, sauté onion and garlic in a little oil.
  2. Add smoked turkey and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  3. Add collard greens, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer for 1–1.25 hours until greens are tender.
  5. Remove turkey, shred meat, and stir back in.
